How Disc-Stack Separation Works

Conical discs inside the rotating bowl increase the effective separation area. The separation duty can involve removing solids from a liquid or separating two immiscible liquids, with solids handling as required by the selected design.

Solids discharge may be continuous, intermittent or manual. Manual removal requires stopping and opening the bowl. These are different machine arrangements, selected to suit the application.
