How a Decanter Works
Inside the rotating bowl, solids collect towards the wall. An internal screw turns at a different speed from the bowl and conveys the separated solids towards discharge. Liquid leaves through a separate outlet arrangement.
Depending on the design, a decanter separates solids from one liquid phase or from two liquid phases. The separation duty is specified for the selected machine.
