Vertical High Pressure Extractor — VHP

Muninmax designs and manufactures Vertical High Pressure Extractors that use a vertical screw for further pressing of residue. They serve duties where additional liquid recovery or lower residual moisture is required. Selection considers the raw material and the condition of the feed from earlier stages.

Construction and Discharge

Product-contact parts are made of AISI 304 stainless steel. The VHP 420D uses cast iron in its internal rotor core or supporting structure, outside the product-contact area. Both listed models use a turntable arrangement for residue discharge.

The electrical specification for both models is 380–460 VAC, three-phase, 50–60 Hz.

Selecting the Pressing Stage

A vertical press can follow Low Pressure or Horizontal High Pressure extraction. The appropriate arrangement depends on the incoming residue and the final residue condition required, rather than a fixed number of stages for every product.
