Twin Piston Pump

Gentle product handling. Consistent delivery to your process.

MNM designs and manufactures Twin Piston Pumps for delicate products containing pieces that require careful handling during transfer. Designed to maintain a consistent proportion of product pieces to liquid, the pump supports tank-to-tank transfer and feeding into processing systems, including sterilization systems.

Each pump is engineered around the product characteristics, required flow rate and operating pressure.

Applications

The Twin Piston Pump is designed for products such as pineapple cubes blended with purée and other products with similar characteristics. Product piece size and operating temperature are addressed through the design of each project.

How It Works

Two pistons alternate between receiving and discharging product. An open hopper with an integrated feed auger guides product into the pumping chamber. The hopper operates without vacuum treatment.

Hydraulic, pneumatic and motor-driven mechanical systems work together within the machine.

Control and Integration

Selectable flow-rate and pressure control modes allow operation to be matched to the process requirements. A control panel with PLC and HMI is included as standard.

Control integration with downstream equipment, including sterilization systems, is defined for each project.

Cleaning and Seal Selection

Cleaning-in-place (CIP) is the primary cleaning method, circulating water and cleaning solutions through the product flow path. Product-contact seal materials are selected to suit the product, temperature and CIP conditions of each project.

Discuss Your Product and Process

Tell us about your product and transfer duty. Where known, include:

  • The product, the size and proportion of pieces, and the surrounding liquid or purée.
  • The transfer duty and the equipment the pump will feed.
  • The required flow rate, pressure and operating temperature.
